Meet Our Doctors
Drs. Hirschl, Lelchuk, Tillinger, and Tillinger completed advanced training beyond their dental degrees. The doctors continue to have close working relationships with their medical peers in the Mt. Sinai community.

Dr. Andrew Hirschl
Dr. Andrew Hirschl is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry and went to Hofstra University for his undergraduate degree. Following his graduation from dental school in 1980, he did a general practice residency in dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Dr. Hirschl has been in private practice in Miami Beach and North Miami Beach since the completion of his residency training program in 1981. In 1993 he earned the Fellowship Award of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Hirschl has been active in both his professional life as well as civic. Professionally, Dr. Hirschl is chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he was the program director of the Mount Sinai General Practice Dental Residency Program until 2004 and co-program director 2001-2002, he has been an attending staff member of MSMC and teacher in the residency program since 1982. Dr. Hirschl is also a Past President of the Miami Beach Dental Society. Dr. Hirschl has been a Board Examiner for the Florida Board of Dentistry since 1991. Dr. Hirschl is a member of the American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association, the South Florida District Dental Society, the Miami Beach, and North Dade Dental Societies as well as the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
The civic duties that Dr. Hirschl has undertaken include the councilman of Bal Harbour Village from 1989 to 2001. During this time on the council, he was Assistant Mayor from 1997 to 1999 and Mayor of Bal Harbour from 1999 to 2001. His other activities include contributions to Mount Sinai Medical Center as a board member of its Foundation since 1995, serving as Vice-Chairman 1999 to 2000 and then Chairman 2002-2004. Dr. Hirschl is also a board member, officer, and past president of Temple Beth Sholom. Dr. Hirschl was also a member of the City of Miami Beach Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer.

Dr. Ira Lelchuk
Dr. Ira Lelchuk is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended both Emory College as well as the Emory University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1981. Upon graduation, Dr. Lelchuk did a general practice residency in dentistry at Miami Children’s Hospital with extra emphasis on pediatric dentistry as well as treatment of the mentally and physically challenged including treatment in the operating room setting. Upon completion of the general practice residency in 1982, Dr. Lelchuk went into private practice in Miami. Besides Florida, Dr. Lelchuk also has a license to practice in Maine and Pennsylvania. In 1993 he earned the Fellowship Award of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Lelchuk has been on the attending staff of Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Children’s Hospital, and the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens since 1982. At Miami Children’s Hospital, he was a clinical instructor in general dentistry and hospital dentistry and also served on the operating room committee. At Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Lelchuk taught in the general practice residency program since 1982 and was co-director of the general practice residency program from 2002-2004, as well as serving on several committees. Dr. Lelchuk has lectured locally on nitrous oxide/oxygen analgesia, oral health care for the elderly as well as dental radiography for dental auxiliaries.
Dr. Lelchuk is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association, the South Florida District Dental Society, the Miami Beach, and North Dade Dental Societies. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Lelchuk is a past president of the Southeast Florida Chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Greater Miami Chapter of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He also served on numerous committees of the Southeast Florida District Dental Society and the executive board of the Miami Beach Dental Society. Dr. Lelchuk is also a member of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation.

Dr. Joshua A. Tillinger
Dr. Joshua Tillinger’s path to dentistry began at the age of four—sparked by witnessing his father’s significant dental work and the powerful confidence that followed. Inspired by the powerful impact dentistry can have on a person’s life, he committed himself to mastering the art and science behind it. Dr. Tillinger graduated from Case Western Reserve University’s prestigious Professional Scholars Program. He received additional advanced residency training from The Foundry Dental Center where he focused on full-mouth rehabilitation for patients recovering from addiction, trauma, and complex medical conditions. Every step of his education and training has been fueled by a single goal: to become the most prepared, refined, and expert clinician for the patients he serves.
Today, Dr. Tillinger is known for creating stunning, natural-looking smile makeovers—while offering comprehensive care that supports long-term oral health and lasting beauty. He uses the principles of Facial Aesthetic Design to ensure each smile is in harmony with the face. Dr. Tillinger understands that teeth don’t exist in isolation—they shape the lips, support the face, and influence overall beauty. Designing a truly elevated smile requires a specialized eye and an artistic touch, and that’s what he brings to every case.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tillinger teaches advanced techniques in veneers and full-mouth reconstruction to dentists nationwide, always working to raise the bar in modern dentistry.

Dr. Raquel L. Tillinger
Dr. Raquel Tillinger is passionate about delivering dentistry that blends technical excellence with a personalized, caring touch. She graduated valedictorian from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry and holds a background in nutritional biochemistry, giving her a deeper understanding of the connection between oral health and systemic wellness. After dental school, she completed advanced residency training at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, where she treated a wide range of complex dental conditions for some of our nation’s most deserving veterans.
Dr. Tillinger provides a full spectrum of dental services, including cosmetic veneers and crowns, implant surgery, gum grafting, root canal therapy, Invisalign, and comprehensive rehabilitative care. With a refined aesthetic eye and a gentle approach, she focuses on minimally invasive techniques that promote long-term oral health and beauty. Patients appreciate her attention to detail, calming demeanor, and commitment to individualized care. Dr. Tillinger is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Tillinger enjoys kayaking, playing pickleball, cooking new recipes, and exploring South Florida’s vibrant food scene.
